Karina GrigorianBorn in the town of Shakhty in the Rostov region of Russia, soprano Karina Grigorian Graduated cum laude from the Shakhty Musical College.  In the 2008 – 2009 season Miss Grigorian portrayed the role of Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana with the Theatre Massimo Belini in Catania. Other performances included concerts with the L'Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal.

In 2006 she became a soloist of "Helikon-Opera" in Russia. In May 2006 she performed the role of Stefanie in the premiere of Siberia by Umberto Giordano. In the fall she performed Abigail in Verdi’s Nabucco by G. Verdi with the Helikon-Opera and the Novaya Opera.

That same year she debuted as Katerina Izmailova in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk in Israeli New Opera in Tel Aviv.  Other performances include Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Lisa in Pique Dame with the Helikon Opera and the title role in Aida at the Massy Opera in Paris.

In the 2004 – 2005 season Miss Grigorian performed the role of Cio-Cio San in Madama Butterfly and Violetta in La Traviata at the Rostov Opera Theater in Russia.  She won the "Female Face of the Year" contest, established by "Planeta Krasota" magazine, in "Best Singer" in 2007 and was a finalist in Operalia in 2008.
